Rose Close

Heavy post-processed rose, the image of which was taken in New York City, but I believe, the country defaulted from my previous photo, that I just posted on Trek Nature! - Not good, I was not able to change it. That is why the location may look strange.
Anyway, this is my co-worker's rose, that she got at work for her birthday. I liked its color very much and just needed to depict it on a photo! But it is worth mentioning that the original color was less vivid - it had a beautiful combination of pink and white colors. It became more "rosy" after I added contrast a little.
While I was adding sharpness, I decided to experiment and added it almost to the maximum and liked the effect. Then I just added an outside drop shadow and - voila!
This is one of my few macros, that I started to like to do and would like to practice more on.
When naming the photo, I liked the word play and left it as it was.
The original photo of the rose is attached. |

Hi Irina,
Great shot and excellent PP work, make the roses look like a paper rose instead. I like that idea. Just one thing thou, I like to see it in bigger version as you know TL size can go up to 800 X600.... I am sure your roses will look much better in that size... :D
Excellent work,
Thanks for sharing
Cheers,
Sweety
