I would have run more of an aggressiv crop showing the wave futher intense and bird looking into it.

abit unsharp image but because shutter is quite fast, so i suppose it could due to focusing. I wonder what it would look like if taken at the same height as the bird.

The image has been captured with a good aesthetic sense, especially the title is well harmonises with the situation. Reflection of evening light on wet sand looks fabulous.

I liked Werewolf's note about fish very much - yes, I hope so too. :) You know, the photo really reminds one of those terrible ones that we've seen about a real event, when people were still smiling, while running from it, not knowing the concequences yet...
