I love B/W beach shots Julie, and this one is fabulous!
looks like a scene from an old movie.
The waves turning create excitement in th shot.
Well done.

Juliet

felicidades gran trabajo

Beautiful shot Julie. Well composed with great tonal range. Very good B&W conversion.

Not sure about the frame though. I think it's a little too elaborate and detracts attention from an awesome image.

TFS,
David

Hi Julie,
You and i share the same interest about this wonderful country that is Mexico. With 40 pictures posted already something here tells me that you must be passionately fond of it...very much so ....lol . Same goes for me... once seen never forgotten ...lol
The good point in your composition is that it just simply speaks for itself in that it is not hard to see why there's a tropical storm in the making here : The powerful pounding waves ,the dark threatening clouds and the overall ambiance all emphasize that strongly .Much prefer B&W as medium over color as the stormy effect, feel that is normally present in such bad weather conditions is almost always better expressed ,rendered( in my opinion ) just as in your seascape here , like this a lot and cool frame too ,
TFS,
Carol

That sounds to be a rough sea there in Mexico.

Hi Julie,
There is a lot of power in those waves, a great contrast with all the snow that we received in the last week-end.
