I went out on an April morning
All alone, for my heart was high
I was a child of the shining meadow
I was a sister of the sky

There in the windy flood of morning
Longing lifted its weight from me
Lost as a sob in the midst of cheering
Swept as a sea-bird out to sea

~ Sarah Teasdale

trying to find some spiritual solice in the sweetness of petals and poetry today.. really in need of some cheering up as it's been an awful period health wise.. yuk! i'm hoping that the joys of spring might lighten my spirits and energize my weariness a bit.. although i don't quite understand why after having to wait so long for it the tempurature has to jump straight into summer highs over night! i mean.. a little authentic springtime between the bitter winter and ravaging summer would be nice and not too much to ask i don't think... especially when your health's not good and your desperate hopes of finally being able to get out into the blooming reborn world for a bit are being thwarted by the intense likelyhood of passing out every 5 minutes which the heat certainly doesn't help... arghhh! :-( well.. at least i managed to drag myself over to the university today from which i write this and i haven't passed out yet! so i guess my glass is half full ihih ^_^

this shot was taken about at the beginning of april looking up from under the only trees that were in bloom in the park behind my house.. so getting up close and under them was like crawling into my own little secret garden where the rest of the still wintery park and indeed world couldn't affect me.. it was like being lost for a moment.. lost under a sweet scented white petaled sky...

the camera picked up the lovely reds and yellows of the virgining branches of those trees behind this one not yet leafed out and begining their rebirthing journey into a new season.. i thought this was another hopefull symbol.. those trees are now green and flourishing in a way hard to imagine when i looked at them those few weeks ago... so let's hope however hard it may be to imagine now.. a struggling heart, mind and body might do the same and one day find their long awaited springtime and begin to flourish despite the harshness of their current winter...

just cropped, resized, saturation increased a bit, unsharp mask, framed & signed

so i hope you enjoy my little hopeful petaled corner.. have a bright and lovely day everyone :-)

Hi Ayda,
I do believe this is a magnolia tree you've capture. I love the big blossoms and their strong scent. I think you've done a good job of handling all the blossoms and the branches. Great note. Well done!

Hey Ayda,
This is so light and fluffy Ayda with a beauty that becomes of you. Great full composition with a complexity of nature and its marvelous shapes and colors. The atmosphere of the photo is bright and lovely and a great representation of your little hopeful corner. This photo almost or does(depends how long you stare at it)take on the feel of a beautiful painting. I really like this from you Ayda, that nice bright and happy spirit making its way into a more comforting plane, existence, dimension, perspective and on and on. Take care and good vibes to you.

Michael

And finally the flowers are back and this time in the perfect company of a beautiful poem... I think I've seen a mere glimpse of their beauty weeks ago, when they mysteriously dissapeared right before my eyes ;-) It is with renewed joy that I welcome these fresh blossoms of spring again!
May the spring arrive for you also, not just for the flowers. Chances are that it's springtime already in your heart and you didn't notice...
Well done Ayda. Ciao.

Our blossoms are a long way yet to bloom.
Excelent composition and presentation. A beautiful view. Well done.

Mike

Good composition. Makes me feel like I'm lying under the blossom tree myself. Lovely spring photo.

Sorry to hear about your health problem Ayda, I will be praying for you, these blossoms does make a beautifull picture, well done, hope you feel better very soon.

Hi Ayda,
Wonderful shot of an upcoming and extremely expected spring day! I does lift up the mood and makes the days warmer.

I'm longing for leaves here in Sweden too. 2 weeks ago i saw the first green. Now is wait for the blossoms.

And be sure that spring and summer are excelent healers, specially for the soul ;)

Take care and be well.

You always can write in a fine way, I like it...
A happy picture from you makes me happy too.
The new life is packed in a full picture. I like your angle, nice seen from here.

this is complex with all the branches and twigs interlacing; that is over-cast with the simplicity of the flowers and the delicacy of the pinkish shades. nice POV also. a wonderful portrait of spring.

it reminds me of sunny, pretty, blue-sky day when I laid on a picnic table shaded by several tall sycamore trees in bloom. Black butterflies drifted and flew back and forth among the blossoms as I shot picture after picture. hhhhhhhhmmmmmm, wonder where I put those pics . . . ? LOL! If I find them, I'll send you one. ck

ayda, dear, sorry to hear you are not doing well...
this one sings to my soul today...the pure, white flowers and the touches of pink...and your note...it hits me hard, as i know how you are feeling...

Well, I like a nice blossom, and tree branches, and a blue sky. So why did I miss this one ? Shame on me, Ayda. Your shot unites all the ingredients I love. TFS.
Maybe the petals could have been a bit sharper, more in focus... but that's just nit-picking (well, I'm well-known on TL for that ;o). Great not too.
