Under A Tungsten Sky

A tired old subject revisited ... but with a twist.
This is the Anish Kapoor's Cloud Gate installation at Chicago's Millennium Park.
Chicago night shots are notorious for their orange tinge because of the sodium vapor lights that the city uses for street lighting. Sometimes, the night shot could be so fiery, but sometimes it gets muddy. The solution? Use the fluorescent white balance (on camera or during processing). You'll get beautiful blues ... especially the sky. |

Hi Ken - I like this. The blues, the low POV, the slight blur on the pedestrians works well and the reflection is great. Good shot and a nice note.
