Taken from Roosevelt Road looking North, Chicago, Illinois.
This technique is called HDR (High Dynamic Range). This particular one was created with 5 shots with different exposures and then combined into this picture using a software called Photomatix.
The intention of HDR is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.

Hello, Silvio -
Impressive image. You can really see how your technique brings out an extensive range of light and shadows. Great composition with the rail lines leading the eye toward the incredible skyline and dramatic sky. Thanks for the informative note, too.
Terrific work Silvio! I love the effect your HDR work has had on this city ... a geat view of the downtown skyscrapers, too, by the way.
