Balancing in a Cruel World

I met this little girl at a playground. At first she wasn't talking to me because all the other kids were crowding around and clamoring for my attention.
When the other kids went to play on the slide, she stayed near me. With a very serious face, she told me, "Someone killed my mom."
I looked up at her, startled. Did I hear her correctly?
"Someone killed my mom and my dad," the girl repeated.
"Really?" I asked.
She nodded. "It's not good to kill people. I wouldn't like it if someone killed me."
She is only 4 years old. How young the children lose their innocence in today's world! Did I even know what killing was when I was 4? |

Hello Erin!
Lovely capture and kid. Hats off also to the people taking care of her. She obviously learn young to stay positive in life despite this tragedy. Look at her charming and natural smile.
I am adding her in my theme : Favorite smiles of Children of the world.
I hope you will have a chance to see her again. (^_^)
Cheers!
Robert
