Had the chance to shoot the Chicago Shoreline at night. Photoshop Element 7 was used to enchance the pic.

Nice go Ronald - interesting viewpoint.

If I could give a couple of tips to improve this..

1. Shoot in the 'blue hour' - in other words when there is still a little light in the sky. For example the photo next to yours in the gallery. The plain black sky has no interest - however with a bit of colour you get a far more interesting shot and clearer skyline.
2. The horizon is tilted!! Quite a lot!! Make sure your tripod is level (you can get a small spirit level for a few $s that sits in the flash hotshoe of your camera..
3. As you have used a tripod I would suggest using the camera in manual mode - set a smaller aperture such as f16 and then take a few shots with varying shutter speeds and see what comes out best!! This will give smooth water with great reflections and the light points in the picture become starlike..
