[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
TL taking break from the wolf series. You'll meet them again in October season here.
I've almost 300 photos, and can't post all of them here.

Thanks to zoran Earth Day is on April 22.
Here is US they are celebrating today.

Today is "Earth Day" celebration here in US.
Some serious thoughts...
why such days are necessary to celebrate?
Because we've done so much damage to this nature, we need such days to remind us.
To tell us how important is to save this earth and her nature balance.
Animals don't need to tell this type of days, because they are in strict harmony of nature, its in their blood.
and sad that we humans do need to tell this again and again.
Why, because we are the biggest predator on this earth.
under the name of development, we demolished hills and jungles,
we destroyed the homes of wild animals and their source of food.
we are responsible to put this ecological imbalance
we kill animals who are 1000 times bigger than us just for pleasure
did you guys know we kill hippos for meat and tusk
we kill elephants for their tusk (Ivory)
we kill rhinos for their horn and skin
we kill crocodile for their skin and flesh
we kill tigers, lions, cheetah, jaguar for their skin and claws
we kill wolves, foxes, beavers, minks for their fur
we kill tortoise for their meat and shell
whales and sharks for meat
...name it and we human beings kill all of them either for food or for pleasure.

Wild animals population is reducing drastically.
No wonder this earth is loosing the wilderness and equilibrium of the nature.
No wonder there is global warming

its all our fault.
why can't we live in harmony with nature like our ancestors did??
is that so difficult?
I guess not, just need willingness and understanding.

but its our ego to concur this earth and develop all luxury...
but what is the use of that luxury when there is no harmony?

so many thoughts in my mind and also sad feeling...where are we as a human going!!!
yes, I do miss jungles and being with wild animals.

and these wolves are wild and need help to protect...
so as all animals need protection.
then only our mother nature will get her balance back, and harmony all over the world.

This is Tristan...alpha wolf of the main pack.
Leader, courageous, protective to his pack and family.
Lot to learn from these wonderful animals’ friends...lot to learn.

i think earth are waiting with so much hopes the arrive of Nibiru in 2012 to get rid of this bad humanity race.. ;)) unfortunately we are not able to preserv anything!! we are able only to destroy our beloved planet... maybe soon.. we disappear!!

Nice tight crop Vandana, a lovely pose and good detail. In Australia it is only the aborigines who can kill turtles for meat and then only using their traditional weapons. Foxes are hunted here because they are an imported species and vermin. Crocodiles are farmed just as sheep or cows are. None of the other animals on your list are native to Australia. TFS,

Vandana... what a portrait! Almost colourless, apart from the tongue and the backdrop (which you kept nicely under control). The look on his face is terrific. In general I'd say your PoV was a little too high, but it works here. Beautiful animal.
Thanks for sharing, and for the note. I miss a part about the seal slaughter in Canada, though.
