Shapes, Lines and Patterns II

| High-powered transmission lines. There's a section on I-80 in or near Gary, Indiana where you can see these high voltage transmission miles along the highway for miles and miles. The patrerns that the wires and the towers make against the sky are incredible. Gary which is just east of Chicago is best known for being one of the USA's steel producing cities. It was founded in the early 1900s for the Indiana Steel Corporation. Because of the fall of the steel industry due to global competition, much of the city has fallen into decay. However, efforts at revitalization are being undertaken - many casinos are in the area and the city is currently the home of the Miss USA pageant. Gary, Indiana, btw is also the hometown of Michael Jackson. |

Beautiful composition. Even if I know quite similar pictures this is great. I like it!

Glad someone else appreciates these metal giants that cross our landscape I love picturing pylons like this I live quite close to a power plant and they all seem to stream out like a spider-web
Brilliantly composed
Thanks for sharing

Hi Ken,
Cool image! Your composition is really good. The contrast between the pylons and the sky is nice, too. To the lower left, some of the pylons appear to have a blue color; unexpected but welcomed. This image was very well captured.
Congrats!
Richard
