This is my version of a flower with a bug on it. If I were capable of taking a vivid macro like many of you, I wouldn't have a need to create art. I like to tease about the flower with a bug on it photo, because they seem so common, yet I cannot capture one. I like being different, but I sure would like a good macro lens.

It's hump day again; half way to Friday! Hope you have a good one.

Hey Dennis,

Nothing wrong with working one's artistic side. A macro lens certainly comes in handy if that's what you want to shoot, but one can still shoot pretty good close-ups with the equipment you currently have. Even if you can't get in as close as you'd like, if the shot is really sharp you can do a close crop. Just a thought, because I don't own a macro (in Nikon speak = micro) either, but occasionally want to capture a flower or two.

Your pp work is interesting, and eventually I think you'll be able to make a perfect artistic blend with your photos. TFS

Best regards,
Werner

A lovely artwork Dennis. Coneflowers are my favorite flower subjects. I like the Fibonacci spirals in its conehead which is very well depicted in this photograph, it glows. Beautiful isolation from the background. The bee is the icing on the cake. You have quick reflexes. Regards.

Hallo Dennis,

What interesting macro. Very beautiful colors with exceptional detail. Fantastic contrast and photo playback.
Best regards,
Adrian

Bonjour Dennis.
Dommage, l’image manque un peu de netteté, car elle est originale et le travail de post-traitement bien maîtrisé, bravo.
Bonne soirée.
Urs
