Here we where entering Indiana Harbor on Friday July 13th...to unload the Taconite pellets that where loaded on the ship in Duluth...

We usually see Grand Lighthouses ... But I found this lighthouse to be very practical as the harbor it protected... As we got closer to the Harbor I could tell it was a working Harbor.(I will add a ws of the view looking into the harbor.) I was amazed by the size of this place.. Everywhere you looked all you could see was huge machines! It was very impressive...
(I will also load the map so take a look)

PP: work..
in PSE I auto adjusted brightness and added some darkening highlights.... saturage and sharpen forgot to add that PP work when uploaded .. I like the way it showed the sunset on the lighthouse... flipped the photo to have the lead in coming from the left... Personal preffrence!

*After upload .. I notice some noise in the sky.. that would have been easy to fix.. but did not catch it until after upload!!**

Great!! Beautiful strong blue colour of the see! Is it the real colour? I dont see any saturation written.. so maybe its for real.
Great sharpness!! Beautiful and unusual lighthouse. (for me)

Well done!

Hi Tricia,
I like the heavy colors in this photo. They make a very bold statement. The soft warm light on the lighthouse did illuminate it perfectly. The way you got such a hard and clear horizon is very impressive. it must have been a dry day. I fully understand you flip preference. That is the way we learned how to read.
TFS,
Niek

nice color contrast! excellent pov and you got a very straight horizon there! good composition! tfs

Congradulations Tricia!!!!

Lovely capture. Excellent perspective with the walkway leading to the lighthouse.
I find the water a bit too "blue" though,
But still a very good sharp image

Hi Tricia,
Like this composition very much, you place the lighthouse very well. Great colours and contrast too! The little dam comming from the left lower corner could have been just a tad more in the corner it self to make it even look more attractive. Well anyway a superb posting my dear Tricia.

Hi Tricia,
This is one spot I haven't seen yet! I like your angle on the lighthouse, sure looks like you should have gone out and put a coat of paint on it though...:o) I like the diagonal line of the breakwall and the saturation you've added to the water. TFS
Donna:o)

Got him home! yeah!!!! :o)

The Indiana Harbor light is definetly a nice fixture to Indiana Harbor, one of the dirtiest and smelliest places i have ever been too, well done!
