[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I sure did not want to post a flower two days in a row, but somehow, my first and second choice would not open anywhere. I like this orchid, but it is a flower. At least I got to practice layering.

What kind is it? I know there are a lot of them. I'm proud just to know that it's an orchid.

Hope you like it too. Thanks so much to all my TL friends!

Hi Dennis

grate shot
really good colors and focus
what you need is more sharpness
and i think a simple frame was more elegant , my opinion
the flower is beautiful don t need any other stuff to make it look better
Have a grate day!

Wonderful capture!
What sharp details, lovely colors and beautiful frame.

Hi Dennis,

A colorful flower, indeed. I agree with Oana on both points, particularly with the frame being too large. The center of these orchids alway remind me of the Trix commercials for some reason ;)

I've done a workshop to give my take on the photo, but again, it's only my opinion.

Best regards,
Werner

I have to agree with several previous comments about the frame. It over powers your beautiful photograph. A simpler frame would be more appropriate. And... yes more sharpness in the orchid would have been nice. Remember that next time, especially on flower shots. Sharpness is paramount! Hint: Shoot several shots of any flower you photograph. Focus on several different areas and then choose the one that looks best to you. Also, try offsetting the flower subject to left and right, if only slightly.

Cheers, JoeGoff
