[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a real flower named Golden Candle. It wasn’t a very pretty flower, so I created an art form version of the photograph. I wanted the flower to look like a candle. I layered a leaf and warped it into a candle holder. Warping was done to create the wax appearance melting down the subject forming a cooled puddle below on the leaf.

I hope it grows on you, because I have a series of created art form photos to post. I must stay true to myself, because I have failed, in this short period, to become a good photographer, as most of you are. I feel compelled to find my own way of expressing the art form of photography, and that’s what I’m going to do.

I thought this was a real candle when I saw the thumbnail. You nailed it on this one, your pp work is superb here. I like the minimal frame you added as well.

Dennis, you no doubt "created" a very unique looking piece of art with this photograph. I would love to see the original photograph just to compare what you have done from the original image. It looks very much like a flower I shot, an orange "shrimp flower" at the "Domes" in Milwaukee. Although the images are similar, I really like your portrayal of this flower and the way you have PP it. Great photo processing.

This is a good effort. The result is eye catching and quite stunning. The colours shift very pleasantly. The framing does justice to the shot.
