Moths attracted to light. When I took this shot I didn't care much for it, because the bugs were not very colorful. However, when I increased the brightness and contrast the center of this flower appeared to glow. With the moths on the flower and the center glowing, it appears that the moths are attracted to the light.

I hope this looks better than the last one. I'll keep trying.

Hello Dennis,

Excellent macro of this wonderful flower.
Very good framing with beautiful depth and contrast.
The heart is really heavy and intense.
very beautiful composition and presentation.
good work
John

Hi Dennis,

Very nice macro of the flower, and I think you've achieved what you were aiming for. While your PP work has introduced some OE (over exposure) into the center of the flower, that works because of the way moths are attracted to light (your note really helps here). The science behind that is very interesting, the way their navigational system often guides them right into the flame! Since I'm always whining about DOF, this looks spot-on!

TFS and best regards,
Werner

Hi Dennis
What a great capture. The flower does indeed glow and I like the tinge of purple on the tip if the one petal. I've never been able to find out how a border is created like you have here. Any chance of some instructions.

Ciao Dennis

This composition is a very delicate and elegant
in the best tradition of Nature!
The wings of moths has this beautiful texture and fine details,
DoF site and the subject stands out well in flower and white
the addition of yellow makes it elegant!
A scene framed and displayed in a dynamic composition!

Greetings,

Sergio
