[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the taken from the Lamb Lake dam. A beautiful view. I could not see this from my house, but on my daily walk I would walk down to the waterfall and back up the hill. It's a great sledding hill, but I couldn't walk back up very many times. It's a lot steeper than it looks in this photo.

There is something I'm not too crazy about in this photo. I lowered the speed to 1 sec to reduce the wind blur, but maybe I should have added a little more red.

What do you think?

Well I'm beginning to get jealous of the autumn colours. Especially with great photos such as this one showIng autumn off so well. You composition is also very good, there was nothing that distracted my eye. Cheers.

Wow these colors are just amazing. Something I miss here! Lovely composition and sharpness.
It's a winner!

Hi Dennis,
A beautiful spot you've captured. Nice strong color saturation and good POV. Nice amount of sharpness. TFS Julie

I think the colours are lovely - no need for more red. I think this is a very attractive image which has been very well composed. There is a slight lack of sharpness but I'm undecided if that's a problem - it may enhance the soft, dreamy feel to the shot.

red color ???no I think this is the perfect representation of autumn.great clarity and amazing DOF.tfs

felicidades
buen trabajo

Hi Dennis,

A nice colorful fall shot of the dam, which is nicely framed by the trees. Good composition and adequate sharpness. I think the red is fine here, more natural. TFS

Best regardsd,
Werner

Compliments, well composed colorful shot.Autumn sure makes one trigger happy.I don't think you needed to go to f32 though. Regards Otto.

The colours are great - very natural. The 1sec shutter doesn't appear to have had any negative effect. Composition is nice, too, with good placement of the water spilling over the rock.

Not so keen on the signature bottom right.

This shot would be a perfect candidate for a NR grad filter - delivering that darker gradient just at the top of the shot to reduce the bright sky. Next time you're in a camera shop, see if you can try one out on your camera ...!

Hi Dennis,
Awesome photograph, such an explosion of colours. The 1-sec shutter speed has created a nice blurred effect on the water. Text-book composition too. I agree with Rew about the ND grad filter, I recently bought a set of them myself and they do a very good job. Anyway, nice shooting.

Scott.

Dennis, I see nothing wrong with this beautiful fall, autumn, scene. There are so many different color saturations that could be done to this photograph, but be satisifed with what you have done. Experiment with it some more as far as "Color Saturation" tool and adjustments to different hues of red and green. I wish I could find this type scenery around the area where I live. Without enlarging this photo to see the overall sharpness I give it an A+1 Excellente.

Great shot!

Dennis
Beautiful colors and great waterfalls!
Yes, a little red is necessary!

Hi Dennis.

This is a very nice picture with great colors and good composition. About the Grad Filter Rew was talking about, there are also softwares for this and also other filters.
