As you may well know, I've had a great deal of trouble capturing focused photos. This photo is getting closer to being focused. I took this photo during lunch at our company recreation park. It may be a little early to post red and green, but just this week I saw a house with their Christmas lights on. ...now that's just too early.

I used the burning tool in CS4 for the first time. I think this could be a very useful tool.

I've been playing around with making frames again, but not too radical this time. Papajoe gave me some tips, but don't blame him if it's not technically correct. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I've learned that some things a guy just doesn't want to try on this site. One day, after a bad frame post, I felt like I'd tried to dress in drag while attending a Baptist convention. No offense intended to my Baptist friends.

I love Saturdays too! I hope yours is a good one.

Dennis
This is a lovely capture!
The combination reg-green is wonderful!
Wonderful light and drops of water.

Simple, effective and straight to the point - Great job Dennis. The focus actually looks pretty good on both the berries and the leaves, a stark reminder of how fast Christmas is approaching. Nice idea with the burn in, has the same sort of effect as vignetting. Really seems to concentrate the viewer's attention on the details, without causing our eyes to wander to any background distractions. Suitable frame too. It's 10:27pm on Saturday here, but I hope the day goes well for you.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi neighbor! Today we are "neighbors" on the gallery.
Splendid macro with some beautiful colors. It seems that every picture you refined it exposed. Congratulations and good luck.
Have a nice weekend,

Hi Dennis,

The focus is good here, the berries and leaves are sharp. What I really like about this is the vignetting effect you've achieved with the burn tool. I need to try that some time too.

Yep, Christmas will be here before you know it!

Have a great day my friend!

Werner

Hi,that's well done.I like the way things fade into the background and you got good datail.Greetings Otto.

Dennis, this "almost" focused shot is wonderful. I really like the way you vignetted the greens and highlighted the red! It brings all the central attention to where it should be. I see nothing wrong with the frame. I like it! Keep experimenting and don't worry too much about others who don't like frames. It's all a personal thing. Did you use a "sharpening" tool? If not, try that on this one and see what happens. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

As always, cheers to you and your fiance! Has she asked if you were going to do your own wedding photos??? My wives always worried and wondered about that. Actually I did shoot photos on one of my weddings. It was quite an experience. Hint: Don't do it!!!
