A solitary tree emerges from the mist in a field in Northeastern Kansas. I've alway been intrigued by this solitary tree and I finally took a shot of it on a foggy New Years Eve day.

I like how the tree disappears in the fog. The composition may be a bit too centered. It would be nice to move it a little to the right and let us see more of the field on the left. Overall, it is well done!

Hello,
I like the composition. But it is perhaps a little too foggy. This is why I propose you a Workshop, hoping you will appreciate.

Hi Darren,
Nice capture of that nice tree! And a beautiful foggy atmosphere! It's foggy enough for me... :) Well done!
cheers

I love the concept but I agree the fog has diffused the light a little too much. I tried a workshop ato add contrast and reduce the noise. I hop eyou find it useful

I absolutely agree!
It remember me a film i find not great.. but interesting. I enjoy the soundtrack too. Cat People. When she have a dream who reveal her, the real nature of her existance.. She is a black panther... She is receive by here mother and father on a tree like that. If i remember the tree was black on sky of fire tone... Look like this one. Very evocative!

Hi Darren,
a nice foggy photo... the mood you wanted to create is really here...
I made a ws for fun to create something different.
Hope you don't mind : )

Greetings, Nel

I really really like this shot. The composition is perfect, you have just the tree in the shot. I can see why this is a favorite tree. Silhouettes are a favorite of mine but this one is fantasitc. The color looks desturated from the fog but the golden grass shows it isn't. I also like the simple framing.

Hi Darren,

Yes this is a very intriguing image... especially with that dense mist. The mist seems to add a slight blur to the image, a really interesting effect. I also like the wide composition, it all really seems to fit in together. Over-all an interesting image that is finished off with a good frame.

Biance.

Hi Darren,

Very nice foggy shot. Though, I think it might be a good subject in all of the seasons. Spring with green leafs or in autumn colours.

Well done, TFS.
