| This shot was taken from inside a decrepit silo. This is the only octagonal silo that I've ever seen. I did a short search on them (octagonal silos) and didn't find much. It's also interesting to note that it was constructed using lap siding. I have no idea if that is rare but I've certainly never seen that on a silo. I crawled inside and laid down next to the largest tree to capture this shot. |

Interesting shot and a very appropriate title! Detail is good. The black and white rendition works well.
Just a little FYI, I have seen this type of silo in WA, in Kittitas county. There aren't a lot of them but there are a few. I have seen one utilized as part of a house. Some are still in use.
I love the POV of this shot. Quite original, the silo gives itself it's own frame. I think the angle you shot as well as the tree gives it a lot of interest. It's funny how the tree grew right up in the middle of it. I also like the b/w, it really sets a mood here.
