[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I heard this train long before it appeared out of the mist near Ottawa, Kansas. One note for would be train photographers, even if you are prepared for the rush of air and the clack of the rails I'm not sure you can steel yourself against the whistle if it happens to blow as the train thunders past. I about jumped out of my skin when that shrill lound whistle blew, course I was already a bit skittish being that near however many tons of steel and massive momentum as it rumbled by.

I like the atmosphere in your shot. Looks like the train is coming out of hell or some other hot place. Original and well seen. Thank Darren.

Darren, this is also very typical for America. We loved hearing the trains coming - a sound you never hear in Holland. But the way you are showing it to us is as beautiful as your blue bayou.
You have to laugh out loud if that train is going past you, it's a great rush.
Thanks so much for standing so close to this monster of steel.

Interesting shot, a great ambiance !
The fog is very cut. Good hues of orange ;)
