To all,
Today started out like any other day. A military cadet student of mine decided that we need to go take some pictures. He is still learning and I can also still learn. You know what they say "If you think you have know more to learn, you might as well give up"
We were walking through the park, because my student wanted to take some close-ups of flowers. When all of a sudden he jumped up and said look a hummimgbird. That was it! We spent the rest of the morning following this subject.
What an exciting morning! The military cadet is looking forward to next weekend.

Hi Robert,
Nice shot. Good off centered subject for a more dynamic composition. But, I have to tell you something...that's not a hummingbird. It's a moth. I've done some research on the net and I think what we're looking at is a "white lined sphinx moth." Here's a link: White-Lined Sphinx Moth. Ooops...just noted...one of the nicknames is a "hummingbird moth" so if that's what you meant, don't mind me. ;P Anyhow, the shot could use a little sharpening. But the colors and exposure all seem to check out. Good catch.
Well done.
Richard
