For those who live in Southeast Detroit or Dearborn, Edward Hines Drive is a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon with family or
friends, or to take a quiet stroll or bike ride. It's a wooded, meandering 15 mile road between Dearborn and Plymouth. There are picnic areas, ponds, lakes, and recreational things to do. Each turn of the road brings new surprises as one comes across scenes like this one, which I shot at one spot along the drive.
I used a Rolleiflex for this shot and 120 BW film developed in D76. It was printed on Kodak glossy 8 x10 paper. It's pretty much a straight print with little burning or dodging required.
This image is a scan from that print but did
require some PP work. To give it a period look I scanned the BW print in color and added a slight tint. |
