Thanks!! By our frontdoor, there a many of these wooden clogs (klompen). For each member of the family! Mines are blue with flowers, but the others arejust as yellow as these without the mills!

They are great for the garden and when you have to go outside for a little time.

So thanks for sharing these wiht us from the US! The photo is good, beautiful framed!

Only 12cm? Yes we have loads of them in our souvenir shops in all sizes, our Ecomomy depends on them :-)

Hi Vandana,
Thank you for this wonderful tribute. I've got a pair of wooden shoes as well. I actaully got them from my parents when I lived in Atlanta. It was fun to wear them to special occasions in Atlanta and see the reactions from my friends. The close up of these little ones is beautiful with a wonderful black BG.

Very cute! They don't look comfortable though. :|
Some pixellation in this shot, I'm not sure if you had to reduce the quality a lot to get it to size? But the composition, framing, colours and light are all superb.

Nicely presented, Vandana - great souvenir and tribute to the dutch community. We have an excellent dutch bakery here, and they also sell souvenirs like these alongside their delicious pastries.

Hi Vandana,
My 2 grandsons can really walk on those klompen - we never did ourselves, however our neighbour can climb a ladder with those klompen on his feet and do some painting. Amazing really, because I don't think they are at all comfortable - but they do the work while walking in wet meadows/fields.
Fun - and I suppose real dutch!
