Hi Vandana,

My first thought was..... "you're kidding, the U.S.", but then I read your note.

I would have certainly believed this was Holland. I like the beautiful tulips, windmill, etc... very nice composition with the rows and rows of flowers.

Michigan is so much closer than the Europe Holland and can be done by car.

IREALY thought this was the REAL Holland.. thinking .. when and where the heck was THIS again ..Madurodam maybe ?
Than noticed the word 'Michagan ' ..so it was brought over??

This line I do not understand :
*It was brought over 247 years ago from Netherlands (Vinkel, North Brabant) in 1964*

You probb mean to say the mill is 247 years ald and transported to the US in 1964 .. yes? :-)

Lovely 'replica' picture of a Dutch, Bulbarea in Holland.
I think the same kind of windmill is situated in 'De Keukenhof', the famous exehibition garden near Lisse.
Wonder if there are many farmers who still can speak 'Hollands'.

Yes, this got me confused for a minute Vandana.

I knew about Holland Michigan, but not that they were really copying aspects of Holland like windmills - now see, they even know how to copy the dutch weather - what a great find ^-^.

This landscape has a little of similar with
here in Brazil, in Holambra, the farm of Dutch
that cultivate tulips also. We don't only have the mill!
But of the rest it is very similar with Holambra.

So it is true what they say: one does find "The Dutch" everywhere on earth ☺^☺.
Excellent compo, Vandana, and the tulips provide excellent colours. The dull light ruins the shot a bit (for me, at least) because it really lowers the contrast.
Too bad we can't order the weather conditions we'd like when on a photo-shoot...

i heard of the little Holland in Michigan from my relatives who are living there.. still i forgot when i looked at this shot i thought it was in real Holland..

interesting note to read here.. good shot of this place.. the windmill is just lovely in the bg and looked at ease in her new home.. not really new but 2nd home.. well done on the composition..
