I don't know about tulip . . just seen in in the imported shop . . can't afford to buy it . .
I love seeing this flower when blooming like this one . . kind of rose . .

Well, it sure looks like a Peony.
Beautiful Tulip is is. Perfectly selected by those specialists.
In our garden, the one ,and again, only Peony is flowering now. (out of 3 plant) Almost same colour as your Tulip here.

Hi Vandana,

Those red/orange ones also are quite appealing.
But when you go for elegance, then this is no doubt the winner.
No craziness involved trying to come up with hybrids - seems like a great and satisfying job to me ^-^.

Great shot Vandana as far as clarity, composition and the subject. Flower is a flower and identifying Hybrid flowers are best left to the Horticulturists. The beauty of the different layers with their myraid reflections on the petals although monotonous are attractive. Great post.

Very lovely, Vandana! We missed ours this year, since while they bloomed, we were away on holidays (for both the fancy tulips and the peonies). Lovely color and nice sharpness showing the variegated pink on white.
