I think you've succeeded - an interesting photo accomplished. I see lots of interesting shots in your gallery. Many, like this one, have received less interest than they deserve. Perhaps your lack of critique writing has something to do with that as most members acknowledge that the site works on a two-way basis and will feel disinclined to comment when they see little of that from the photographer.
Anyway I think your photo has merit and certainly deserves points.
