[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
About a month ago I purchased a new digital camera; a Nikon coolpix S6. The reason for the purchase was threefold.

1. I wanted a compact camera to throw in my pocket or in my car on my way out the door each day for spontaneous photo ops where ever I might find myself.

2. Quick and easy portraits and snapshots at family gatherings, parties, etc.

3. Short digital movie clip capabitily.

Thus far the camera has been a great addition to my photo equipment. Case in point was this past weekend when I visited Winona (the town where I attended college last year; I have since graduated and moved back to the Twin Cities). I brought my new camera with me to my favorite place to eat in town called the Acoustic Cafe (they have the best sandwiches I have ever ate). After finishing just over half my sandwich I noticed this particular scene and couldn't help but frame it in my head, as if I were taking a photo. Then I remembered my new camera in my pocket, snapped what I had been invisioning and finished my lunch.

This is not my usual type of post, but hopefully this new camera will bring about many other unexpected photo ops that I can share. Thanks for looking; comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Added black frame in PS7 after a few minor adjustments to the contrast, brightness, and saturation.

Well... It does look tasty, but you've been missing out on some stuff... 'the best sandwiches I have ever ate' ? have you seen this post? (not mine, but it is from my country)
Now THAT's a sandwich!!!
:)

You do get the two greenies though, for several reasons:

- congrats on your new compact camera
- good sharpness
- good exposure
- nice depth of field
- nice point of view

Thanks for sharing,

Simon

"What's with all the Nikons?" :-P You won't be disappointed with the utility of that little camera. I'm guessing you used the built-in macro mode for this particular shot?
