Wonderfully creative, Jeff. Good composition and amazing color (an advantage to living in the northern climates is we get to show them first!). Two nits though -- first, I wish you hadn't clipped the edge of the sign. Second, I would prefer a different focus -- on the sign to blur the leaves, or in between with better DoF so both would be in focus (say f/20, 1/50 second).

Hi Jeff,
I would have focused on the signs, like this it is disturbing as if the signs were not welcome and do not form part of the compo !
But the colours are great especially the leaves.
One sign is cut on the left.

I am a fan of the colors... the problem with living TOO far north is that we see them for maybe a day, and then all of a sudden there's snow on the ground; and the temp outside is 60-80 degrees colder than the average refrigerator. I think this would look cool with the sign on focus and the background blurred, but that's just my opinion...

I like the way that the sign is out of focus. I think the purpose of the photo is to capture the leaves and the sign is there to provide some contrast. I wouldn't mind seeing a darker frame though. But overall, I love this!

Hi Jeff,
you know I love the leaves..I'm orginally from Vermont and seeing the leaves in this photo reminds me of "home". They are beautiful. I personally like the sign out of focus as well as it is after all the leaves we are enjoying..its a neat idea..The frame though does bother me.sorry! I'm posting a workshop with my idea..:o) Just for fun. Thanks for the leaves though..they are great..:o)
