the look in your father's eyes and on his face speaks volumes. a very strong symbolic and emotional image, superb.

very nice! A strong and moody photo. You really captured the somber mood nicely. Great composition as well. JP

I like this version much, much better :) I like the desaturation too, because the grain of iso 1600 makes it appear as if an old time photo. It gives me a sense that the past is always with us. Nice work!

Hi Jeff!
Good photo, beautiful the idea of B&W for this situation.
Only three little critiques:
- there is too much noise (why 1600 ISO?)
- the f/stop is too much open (but it is only my impression...)
- the face is out of focus (I mistake?)
