| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This photo was taken along the Wisconsin side of Mississippi River, my college town of Winona is on the opposite side. All along this area of the river there are these river house boats where people live all year long. Some a very nice looking whereas others look as if they are composed of the most random materials and held together with tape, glue, and string. This particular one would be an in between one.
I believe this photo was taken with Kodak max 100 B&W film. Shutter speed and F-stop are unknown.
I scanned this image at 600 dpi using my HP psc 1210v all-in-one. In PS I used auto contrast to increase the tonal range. I also used the healing tool to get rid of some of the inconsistancies (dust, reflections, etc) scanned with the image. Finally, I cropped the image to remove some excess empty water and sky to the left of the structure. |

Great lines, nice contrast, needs a little straightening, but overall a really great exposure!
Interesting house, he could go fishing right out his bedroom window.
Hi Jeff. HNY. Nicely exposed but lacks a degree of sharpness. Boat in foreground and walkway gives a nice lead in.
Have done a workshop to straighten and sharpen. Hope you like.
Barry
This a good shot, but like a previous poster mentioned, it needs some sharpening.

Hello Jeff!
Your Pov is very interesting because it guides us trough your composition! It seems as we are walking straith to the little house! That's a nice Job! B&W was also a good choice :)
Congratulations.
Luci
