I had an idea in my mind about how I should take picture's at my mother's home and how to show how green and many tree's are in her backyard, and this was it. This one tree stood out and had really interesting bark, I was also playing around with my camera and decided to use the macro setting's if I remember correctly, im a fan of these kinds of picture's. I hope you like it.

Hi David, I like this shot, it remind me when I was young playing hide and seek in the wood with all my little friends, I like the greenery, I also like the DOF, details and the POV in this shot. Very nice, thanks for sharing. :)

Wonderful tecture.

I have to say this shot reminds me of someone running through the woods in a scary movie! They seem to just be peering around the edge of the tree to see what lies ahead of them... It's great! I like the border you put around it. I think the border really makes the focal point stand out! Great shot David.. thanks for sharing!

Hi David,
Nice shot. You've got good composition with something in the foreground, middleground, and background that gives a good sense of distance. I think the exposure may be a tad bit long...this tree looks to be in heavy shade but it doesn't seem that way. But, it's only minor (and if you shot on program mode, that explains why). Everything looks so green, including the bark, which makes me think it's a color cast issue. I did a workshop to try and correct the color cast. However, being that I wasn't there, I'm giving a guess to what the treebark's color was...for all I know, it could've been more of a gray...but, I'll settle for generic brown. Anyhow, these issues seem to be more camera issue than photographer. Good work!
Take care!
Richard

The composition looks fine to me , but I agree with the ws richard did , there seems to be an overall green cast on the picture ..
