[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I made this photo in the historic 18th & Vine Jazz District of Kansas City, Missouri. Directly across the street are the International Jazz Hall of Fame and the Negro League Baseball Hall of Fame. Within walking distance is the Charlie "Bird" Parker Memorial, Bryants Barbecue Restaurant and the most famous intersection in song..12th & Vine.

Old theatres seem to be going the way of railroad travel...admire them while you can.

This is a very poignant composition, Tom. I remember well the old "Varsity Theatre" where we would all gather on Saturdays and for 25 cents, get popcorn, a drink, see a funny cartoon, sit on the edge of our seats for the continuing saga each Sat., watch the news, see the movie previews and THEN see the full length feature film....and if we wanted to, when it was over we could stay and watch it all again...Yes, those days are gone but your composition here brought many memories for me. Thank you......:O)
