Welcome to TL! This is a nice photo—I love the expression on his face... so sad looking.
The photo looks a little flat—lacking contrast. I made some changes and posted it as a workshop. Let me know what you think.

Hi Cassandra..nice shot and pose...I like the tone and the curves of the shot..I would crop it more tightly on the right side of the shot putting the monkey's head about 1/3 in from the side...good job...

Well done Cassie. I think he is entranced watching all those people in the glass cage (his perspective) parade past him everyday.
The so called lack of contrast (softness) adds a quality of warmth to it.
