this is THE most magnificent bird in the world.

i can only dream of capturing an image such as this.
my jealosy meter is off the scale.

i bought a denim jacket with a picture on the back depicting a bald eagle clasping both the confederate and the union flag in its talons whilst on fire.
i wear it to my western clubs and, proudly, when i go to work.
i can say no more.

While visitin Alaska, I was fortunate to see some eagles clasping a salmon and flying away, you are struck by its strength and its spendor.
You have most certainly captured it well with good sharpness showing what those finger or toes are capable of doing to defend itself.

Your note about this shot is almost as good as the image is:) The piercing look in the eagle's eye is almost daring you to take his portrait before he loses his patience. Love the texture of his feathers, and those sharp talons look deadly. Great catch and well composed. Exciting!

One of my favourite types of photography are of birds, unfortunately I need a longer lens to do it justice! This is a lovely one of the Bald Eagle. Every so often you get lucky with the location as you have in this one and I am glad you had the camera in hand...great shot Larry
