Photo taken for the final project in a Black and White photo class at my university. I realize that some parts of this photo look to be over/under exposed. This is a scan, and I could have scanned at a higher resolution but then there would be no way to get the file down to a 200kb max for TL. The actual print looks 10 times better than this.

very interesting composition. The balanced use of the light emphatizes the texture of the different materials and the shadows make them alive!

Good subject and well done in b&w but some parts are overexposed and some underexposed. I think a closer up was better
Great texture on the pipe; I really like the crossing radial swirls, or whatever you'd call them. This looks like a hard print to develop, because your background wall could stand a little more contrast but some parts of the foreground (the elbow at the pipe) are washed out. Was the contrast blown out in the scanning?
Either way this is a fun piece... tfs
