This is fellow TL member akula802 on top of a ridge on the Maah Daah Hey trail overlooking the Theodore Roosevelt National Park at sunset. Check out his and my travelogue for more info about our trip.
Shot RAW/NEF and processed in Nikon's ViewNX. Cropped and added "widescreen" frame in Photoshop Elements 6.

This must be the one you were trying on the ridge above Wanagan Camp. I like it, but the burned-out color distracts me a little... only because its a bit harsh and shooting into the sun didn't allow any of it to be properly exposed. Have you tried a B&W version? I think it would look even cooler, and bring more attention to the silhouetted rider.
FYI we were still a few miles from the National Park (south) unit here, this was all BLM and USFS wilderness, pockmarked here and there by private ranches. All of it that's not privately or locally owned makes up the Little Missouri National Grasslands, which is similar in size to the BWCA, at around a million acres. We never actually entered the park (they would have charged us $7 and we would have had to ford the river in the Tacoma to get to Elkhorn, so we avoided it). Just a nitpicky detail.

I love the moody feeling of this shot!
Well composed with a feeling of "miles to go" in front of the rider.
Nice!
