Cross Butte

Somewhere in the township of Sentinel Butte, along a rural gravel highway between Elkhorn and Wanagan Camps, we came across this little hill at the entrance to someone's ranch land. On the top of the mound, someone had placed this small wooden cross, and we could only guess at the reasons.
I know the lighting is bad, as right at this moment, we were beneath one of the rolling clouds. However, I still like the way it feels.

The light in this is very lovely. However, a more off-centre composition would be much stronger
