Mauve Cala Lilies
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is another plant from the greenhouse where I whiled away many happy hours Friday. Cala lilies are equally at home in a pot or in a pond; many don't know you can put a potted cala lily at the margin of a pond, with the top of the pot at water level.
In Photoshop, I cropped the image and used the extract tool to select the background area; that I made into a new layer and blurred. That done, I darkened the background layer a little and increased the contrast in the foreground.
I just noticed the one background area which looks too sharp and unnatural - too late to fix it now. :S |

This is so pretty and well presented. Blurring the background a good idea; too bad about that spot, but it's not too late to fix it for yourself. I like these colors too. Keep up the good work.
love the tones, the harmony, the light on the leave...its beautifull.
A wonderful shot Kimberley, this picture is perfect, you pp is great, there is nothing I would do to change this image, it is simply beautiful, lovely focus, great detail and lovely bright colours.
