[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
At the Gathering of Legends, 3 P51 Mustangs and the new F22 Raptor flew together at the show.
300mm 2.8 Nikor lens on D200 camera. Shutter priority at 800th of a second to keep hand held NON-VR lens sharp. Some small cropping. Spot metering and follow focus.

Nice capture. This probably does not capture the difficulty of this formation flight. The Raptor was at the very backside of its performance envelope around 200 to 250 knots the mustangs were racing.

Good color and detail. I like that we can actually see the pilots. Very good. TFS

Hi Norman,
Great shot, you have captured this well and the colours and details are good, as Texan said this must have been a hard formation to hold.

Wow!
What a great shot, first I thought it's composed of few photos and some PP work. But it's great. Interesting to see old timers and future war machines together.

Tom

A nice mix of the old and the new, and they all posed so perfectly for you! Excellent angle; they couldn't have stayed that way for long. Clear blue sky makes it look like a poster.
Congrats,
Karen

Hi Norman
I guess the F22 will be taking the place of the F18 eventually. This is a wonderful composition of new and old aircraft together. The sky is a brilliant blue and show them off very well. I'm sure the F22 went zooming by the other aircraft. We had a B-25J Mitchell fly into Calgary in August.
