| This was taken at our local zoo. Finally had a nice day to get out and enjoy the good weather. These guys are usually sleeping so I felt fortunate to be able to get a good picture. Please let me know what you think. |

Ok, here is what I think:
There was enough light enabling a fast enough shutter speed. The lens was wide open so you get a very shallow DOF, if that is what you want, fine, otherwise you can increase the ISO and choose a smaller aperture.
Colors and sharpness are fine, maybe I would adjust WB a little.
The composition is not good. It looks very messy with the out of focus piece of foreground at the bottom center, the tree so close to the main tiger is also grabbing to much attention and the ugly gate at the back also is not nice.
It is difficult to make good zoo shots because the surroundings are not always very photogenic. You can use your zoom lens to look for good crops.
Cheers,
Pedro

The lighting and colors are very nice. Very beautiful animals, they look so powerful and yet cuddly at the same time :) TFS and have a great day!
Beautiful animals. I like the way the tree colours imitate the lions' colours. Good use of depth of field. I wondered if you could have avoided the hanging branch by kneeling down a bit, but then I noticed that there's something coming up from the bottom, too. You do the best you can, and this is good.
