[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is another pic. of Sepak Takraw from the Columbus Asian Festival. In this shot you can see the gentleman in blue getting to smash the ball with his foot while the opponent is trying to block the shot. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I'm amazed at the athletic ability of these athletes. This is my new favorite sport.

For this shot I stood off the corner of the court. I tried to capture the game not just one individual in this pic. I used a fast shutter speed (1/320) to freeze the movement. My lens was 55-200mm with a focal length of 55mm. In PP I just increased saturation to improve color, cropped, added frame then resized. I hope you like it and thanks for viewing.

Regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

This is a great action shot. You've managed to capture a very intense moment in the sport. Fellow in blue executing the 'Lipat Maut' while his opponent is desperately trying to block the shot. If only we could see their grimacing face during this action, that would would make this photo a real killer. Great shot still.

Regards,
Alvin

What is it still a funny game... :-)

Posture of the character on the right of the image is really impressive.

Excellent shot... :-)
very nice,
Thx.

Hi Kevin,
Wonderful capture of these gravity defying athletes caught at the apex of their jumps. Excellent details and sharpness to this beautiful sports image.

Michel

a lot is going on on this picture - many people watching the game; it's distracting yet.. does not disturb me personally;
good sharpness (shutter speed could be higher), maybe too dark in general terms;
best regards - Tomasz

Kevin,
This ia a good action capture. I would have chosen the other corner from were the light was coming from, but I guess the gentleman in the photo was there before you :).
Well done.

OMG! This is upside down volleyball!! No way could I make my legs do that! I would be so tempted to spike the ball with my hand! LOL! I see why the net is so low! amazing sport, I have never seen this before! Excellent stop action shot Kevin! And I'll bet that ground is hard to fall on! OUCH!
