[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am posting another image from the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio.
The rice paper butterfly, also called the paper kite butterfly, wood nymph, or tree nymph has very distinctive black and white markings. The wingspan is 95 to 110 cm across. It is from Southeast Asia.

Enjoy,
Thomas

PS. Please see my workshop after re-cropping!

Nice presentation. Color, focus, details are great. You captured a great shot. My only suggestion is to crop off the bottom otherwise your photo is excellent.
GRACE

ou are right Thomas to crop - Grace was right on.
The center attraction - the butterfly is perfectly captured - His whole body is in the plain of focus - wonderful design that mother nature created - flower creates good contrast with the BG.

You need more crop for more details

Hello Thomas,
I do have pics of this same butterfly and I thank you for the ID info. You did quite well here as I know butterflies are difficult to shoot. The design of the wings are evident, and the lantana blossoms are sharp. My compliments...Danilo
