[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this self portrait sitting in front of a window with venician blinds because I had seen this effect before and wanted to try it.

This was taken after returning from my first trip to Thailand and I was longing to get back to Thailand as soon as possible. I took this picture to send in an email to my current husband here in Thailand, who was the new love-of-my-life at that time. I had visa issues to overcome or I would not have returned to the U.S. at this time.

The original version was color and not so tightly cropped. I also adjusted curves in PS7 to increase the contrast.

Hi David
Very effective portraiture, good use of light and POV. Poignant moment for you. TFS. :-)
