[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is world's largest free standing cell block at six tiers high. There are 300 cells in the shot and another 300 on the opposite side.
It's the former Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio used up into the 1980s and finally closed for all purposes in 1990. Several movies were shot here including Air Force 1 and The Shawshank Redemption. Not a lot of light on this day, necessitating the 8 second exposure. Sepia tint added pp.
The official web site for the structure offers the following:
"Levi T. Scofield designed the facility to encourage the inmates back to a "rebirth" of their spiritual lives. The architecture itself inspired the inmates away from a sinful lifestyle and towards repentance."

Hi Greg,
interesting and atmospheric shot. I like the repeated patterns of the cells and the sepia presentation suits it. Well captured.
Cheers, John.

This looks so depressing, Greg! I like the one color composition. Lovely perspective of your POV. Good details and exposure.
TFS,
Freddie :)

What a disgusting place...at least your image has given that hell hole some redemption!! Good POV and composition...

P/S..it would be good if you got an image after the place was blown up and raised to the ground!!!
