This is the warden's quarters for the Ohio State Reformatory that was closed for good in 1990. I previously posted a shot of the 6 tier cellblock.
In 1950, warden Arthur Glattke's wife died of pneumonia following the accidental discharge of a hand gun as she was reaching into a jewelry box in the closet. The warden later suffered a heart attack at the prison, and died soon thereafter. Over 200 people died at the reformatory, including a few guards who were killed during escape attempts.
This is stitched together from two shots, top and bottom. Sepia tint added as well as a more ominous replacement for a burned out sky. |

Hello Greg,
An old archtecture is looking mangificient in the monochrome composition. Nice angle of shooting. Fine details and alrge number of grey tones are interesting in this image. Excellent shot, well done my friend.
Thanks for sharing this image.

Perfect stitch, Greg. And for its age, this monochrome effect really worked well. Nice work.
Thank you for sharing.
Ramdan.
Excellent portrait of the architecture.
