[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I returned to the scene of my House in the Snow photo to take a look at a favorite spot not from the perspective of winter, but rather of autumn. The golden canopy is party fallen now, but its evidence remains on both the limbs above and the street beneath. Perhaps in the months ahead we’ll come back and complete the “plate block” of this little stamp collection with spring and summer views. For now, though, let’s consider this at least the next installment.

Technically, thanks to Rob "Perryhooter" Calve for the link to bighugelabs.com, the web site that facilitates the stamp-making. PP beyond this was limited to sizing and sharpening. I shot in the automatic landscape mode to capture the depth here and spot-metered to bring the leaves out.

Hi Jim,

I really like the photo, nice autumn colours, pretty house in the background. Think it all really works. However, I really amn't one for the stamp (expecially on the red background) which is personal taste and it could have been posted a little larger which would give a little more detail.

Nice post though.
Kind regards
Colin

A beautiful addition to the Stamp Theme here Jim! We unfortunately have no color in Texas this year...too hot...too much rain! This is lovely, very nice!

Hi Jim,
I like the idea of posting this beautiful house in four seasons of postcards. The red background is eye-catching, but another color from the shot would enhance more, I think.
Nice crop, with the house peeking through the huges trees, and using them for natural framing.
All the best,
Karen

Muy original, excelente idea te felicito

Hey there Jim!
Love the red to get attention. POV is great- although this seems a bit small..Anyhow, the lighting looks shady, not too sunny. There are good crisp details for a great photo.

Hi Jim
Just think how nice this sort of home/stamp photo would be for a new home owner... you have opened many ideas here using the house as part of the stamp fame
