Better left unshoveled? Yes, because, after all, why not leave this blanket of white as untouched as possible? You may discern some evidence of a plow's passing, but that can hardly be helped, and the snow banks provide a border of their own that lends some perspective to this wintry landscape.

This is the sequel to ”Better Left Unraked”. Taken nearly four months to the day later, it shows what a dramatic difference a change of seasons and a slight shift of perspective can make. The wall is entirely hidden beneath the snow. Yours truly is not meandering along on a bicycle over a weekend, but rather snapping quick shots with the car's heater running on a lunch hour.

On that October day, it was all about the tree and the blanket of leaves beneath. On this day, the snow blanket was part of the beauty, but the snow also graces the entire grounds of a very fine house. I thought you might enjoy seeing this perspective – something old, something new.

Happy Friday!
Jim

Hi Jim.
Wonderful winter photo! I like parallel you did with the automn mood and this one. In fact, each season presents its own beauties. Take and enjoy them is the only thing to do!
Here, you rendered so well the white snow with all the nuances the light gave it. It would be marvellous to spend one whole winter without shoveling. :) My husband would appreciate that! Bravo ! Annie

Hi, Jim,
this is a beautiful winter shot. That tree in the FG is magnificent and the colors are just marvelous. Great light and shadow, excellent composition and you did such good work with the contrast considering all that white. This is outstanding! Thanks,
