Postcard from the Paper Valley
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| The cities along Wisconsin's Fox River have the largest concentration of paper mills in the world. But the times are changing, and one of Appleton's oldest mills is now the site of one of its newest parks. Vulcan Park draws its name from the original Vulcan Mill in the city. Today, renovators have transformed the former factory halls into upscale apartments and a popular riverside restaurant is right beside the park. In the background, you'll see the dam from which the mill once derived hydroelectricity. |

Hi Jim,
Lovely tranquil scene of the lovely urban park with its gentle falls surrounded by the bright fall colors.

I've had fun having a little tour through your gallery :) I'm so surprised to see that this particular picture hasn't had more attention. I think the colors and the mood are fantastic. Very nice natural framing. Good work! TFS
Jim, nice photo with an idyllic setting of this piece of the past. Looks like it might be a good spot for trout, also. ???
