To GreenBaron from WI Dutch Country
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This one is to GreenBaron, inspired by his own recent tulips post.
Our part of Wisconsin has a long and rich Dutch heritage. Five miles from where I took this photo is a community, Little Chute, founded by a Father Van Den Broek, with a sister city in the Netherlands. Little Chute to this day is bordered by the township of Vandenbroek.
Not far from there is a place called Hollandtown. A great many names in our local phone book end with "Van" or "Vanden." Dutch festivals are a part of our community life each year.
And the annual emergence of tulips at our local arboretum, where this shot was taken, is the first sure sign of spring and the beginning of the riot of color that runs the summer long.
Hans, may your summer be warm and bright! |

Hi Jim,
I'm very honored with your present! Thanks for the good wishes.
Now about the photo, it looks quite good, cheerful and well presented. The colours look a bit dull to me though, so made a WS to show you how it can improved in my opinion. Nevertheless your posting and note are greatly appreciated. Keep them posting.
Hans
Ahh shucks, Hansie will LOVE this! This is great Jim! Beautiful work, excellent crop! I love the focus on the flowers alone! This is superb!
B-)
