| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
One of my photographic ambitions this Christmas season is to learn to do a better job with lights. So I was taking a bunch this evening, including experimenting with long exposures, and the automatic controls off. This was the last one I took -- and the setting of yesterday's snow frosting our front yard bushes, just a week after we hung the lights, was especially tempting.
Contrary to the EXIF data below, the exposure time was 16 seconds. No PP except sizing and one round of USM. |

Very pretty Christmas colors...great POV and lighting. The title, along with the lighting is almost romantic in a way. Simple and effective. Nice shot!

Hi Jim,
very good atmosphere, excellent colors and incredible effect of the lights under the snow
Well done!

What a very cool photo, Jim! I can't imagine such snow, we're such wimps down here. The region practically was brought to its knees by 2 inches. Of course, they cancelled school which is not good for working parents!
Love the colors, what a great scene!
